Italy defender Domenico Criscito has underscored World Cup objectives, and the first aim is to top Group F.
It's all level after the first round of group clashes following draws between Italy and Paraguay, and Slovakia against New Zealand.
But Criscito believes the Azzurri can make up ground and begin to pull away when they take on the All Whites on Sunday.
"We have not made any tables, but our objective remains to finish top of our group," he told the press.
Criscito, who started against the Albirroja, has told his story of achievement after establishing himself as a regular feature in Marcello Lippi's squad.
"It's a great satisfication for me being here. I have always dreamed about the World Cup," he added.
"I remember watching the final four years ago at home with my parents. At the time I played for the Genoa youth team.
"I am not worried about my position playing on the left side of defence, even though my position at Genoa was left midfield."
